San Diego Soaked: Rainfall Surges Above Normal as More Storms Loom

As of November 18, 2025, San Diego County has seen a significant increase in rainfall over the past week. According to the report, the San Diego International Airport recorded precipitation levels that have now put the region above normal for the water year, which began on October 1.

After running 0.31 inches below normal on Friday, the airport's rainfall totals had surged 1.02 inches above normal by early Sunday morning. Most areas in the county received between 1-3 inches of rain from Friday through Sunday evening.

This wet weather is set to continue, with more rain expected to start the work week. Slight chances of rain are forecast throughout Monday, before the chances increase in the evening. Overnight, the snow level could drop as low as 5,000 feet, meaning Palomar Mountain and Mount Laguna could see some snow flurries, though little to no accumulation is expected.

Rain is likely to continue on Tuesday, though the 48-hour total for Monday and Tuesday is expected to stay below 1 inch. Showers could linger into Wednesday morning, but the region will then get a brief 24-hour break before more rain arrives on Thursday and Friday.

Temperatures will start the week 5-10 degrees below normal, cooling even further by Tuesday. However, they are expected to gradually warm up over the course of the week, reaching near-average levels by Sunday.

Despite the unsettled weather, next weekend is forecast to be sunny and pleasant, with no more rain in the immediate forecast.
