Israel bakes in record November heatwave

Israel has been gripped by exceptionally high November temperatures, shattering previous records for the late autumn period. Heatwave conditions saw temperatures soar between 10C and 12C above average, with many locations reaching 30C to 35C, and even exceeding 35C locally.

Elsewhere, Vietnam is facing catastrophic flooding and landslides due to extreme rainfall, with some areas receiving nearly their annual average in just one week. This has resulted in extensive damage to buildings, infrastructure, and agriculture, with at least 90 fatalities reported.

In Western Australia, the northern Kimberley region is preparing for the arrival of Severe Tropical Cyclone Fina. The cyclone, which previously caused damage in Darwin, has intensified and is predicted to bring heavy rainfall and high winds to northern Kimberly, raising concerns about flash flooding.
