Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) has implemented comprehensive measures to ensure uninterrupted and safe power supply during Ganesh immersion processions in Pune. Dedicated ground teams were strategically deployed along major procession routes and at immersion sites.
These teams, operating round-the-clock from September 24 to 26, were tasked with maintaining electrical infrastructure and responding rapidly to any faults or emergencies. Several divisions, including Parvati, Shivajinagar, and Rasta Peth, established control rooms and positioned personnel at critical points.
In the Parvati division, a 24-hour control room coordinated fifteen teams covering key areas. Similarly, Shivajinagar and Rasta Peth divisions deployed multiple teams along their respective procession stretches, with emergency power supply arrangements in place at vital chowks.
