The Philadelphia area has been hit with a wave of winter weather, including sleet, snow, and freezing temperatures. This onslaught of cold has created a significant business surge for local hardware stores.
Stores are finding it challenging to maintain inventory as winter essentials fly off the shelves. Items like shovels, salt, and snowblowers are in extremely high demand, with many already sold out. Employees are working tirelessly to meet customer needs, often struggling to keep pace with the rapid sales.
Staff are actively managing stock and eagerly anticipating new shipments. The hope is to replenish supplies before the weekend, which may bring another round of snow. This period, typically the slowest for hardware businesses, has become unexpectedly busy due to the persistent storms.
