Weather conditions across northwest India are expected to ease slightly as a western disturbance moves eastward. The region has experienced moderate to heavy rainfall and high winds in recent days due to the combined effect of this disturbance and moisture from the Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea.
While intensity is decreasing, light to moderate rainfall is still anticipated across Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, and parts of Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan through June 19, 2026. Isolated thunderstorms and gusty winds are also forecast for some areas.
Maximum temperatures in Northwest India are predicted to rise by 4-6°C until June 17, after which they are expected to stabilize. In contrast, Central India will see stable temperatures until June 17, followed by a slight decline.
