Mini Tractors Tackle North Yorkshire Winters

Mini tractors are set to be deployed across North Yorkshire this winter to combat severe weather conditions. These compact machines are specifically chosen for their ability to navigate urban areas where larger vehicles may struggle. Their primary role will be clearing snow from roads and pathways, providing crucial assistance to the existing gritting fleet.

Beyond snow removal, the tractors will initially undertake tasks such as trimming flower beds and hedges, and transporting fencing supplies. This dual functionality highlights the council's strategy to maximize resource utility. The tractors will be strategically stationed in Harrogate, Richmond, and Scarborough, ready for deployment in the county's most affected locations during harsh weather events.
