During this period, the city may experience light rain or thunderstorms in the afternoons and evenings. Similar weather is forecast for Thane and Raigad over the next three days.
Further warnings have been issued for districts like Wardha, Chandrapur, Amravati, and Akola, where heatwave conditions are possible between April 24 and April 28. Nashik might see light rain on April 24 before conditions turn dry. Pune is expected to receive thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds on April 24 and 25, followed by lighter rain before dry weather.
Nagpur is predicted to remain stable, though isolated heatwave conditions could occur on April 26. Ratnagiri may experience thunderstorms and moderate rainfall on April 24, followed by hot and humid weather. Other parts of Maharashtra, including Dharashiv, Latur, and Kolhapur, could witness thunderstorms with light to moderate rainfall on multiple days.
The IMD recommends avoiding prolonged sun exposure, staying hydrated, wearing light clothing, and being aware of heat-related illness symptoms. Frequent breaks during outdoor activities are also advised.
