Mumbai Enjoys Sunny Skies as Other States Brace for Heavy Rainfall

On October 4, 2025, the weather in India presented a stark contrast across different regions. While Mumbai, the financial capital, saw a respite from the relentless rains that had plagued the city in recent days, several other states were bracing for heavy downpours.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Mumbai and its surrounding districts were mostly in the clear, with only isolated areas expected to experience light to moderate rain and gusty winds. This came as a welcome relief for the city's residents, who had endured days of intense rainfall.

However, the weather situation was not as favorable in other parts of the country. The IMD issued orange alerts for several regions in Uttar Pradesh, Assam, West Bengal, and other states, indicating the likelihood of severe weather conditions. In Bihar, some areas were even placed on a red alert, signaling the potential for extremely heavy rainfall.

As the nation navigated the shifting weather patterns, the IMD also forecast the formation of a deep depression over Odisha and another deep depression over the northeast Arabian Sea, further adding to the meteorological challenges faced by various states.
