Milan's iconic San Siro stadium is set to host the Olympic opening ceremony this Friday under clearing skies. Italy's air force meteorological service has forecast a much-needed respite from the persistent heavy showers that have affected northern Italy for days. Colonel Guido Guidi of the Italian Aeronautica Militare (Air Force) confirmed that while some rain may occur in the preceding hours, Friday evening promises dry weather with clearing conditions.
