Isolated Storms Possible in MA Wednesday

Massachusetts residents should be aware of the possibility for isolated thunderstorms on Wednesday afternoon and evening. A cold front moving through southern New England will bring a chance of brief showers and lightning between noon and 7 p.m. These storms are not expected to be widespread or intense, unlike previous rainfall events. The Boston area, including Fenway Park, could experience a minor delay during the afternoon game.

Any storm activity will clear the region by sunset, giving way to a forecast of dry and sunny weather from Thursday through the weekend. Separately, a high surf advisory has been issued for the South Coast, Cape Cod, and the Islands, valid through Thursday. Coastal areas can expect waves up to 4 to 8 feet, posing risks for swimmers and surfers.
