Light rain and scattered snow are forecast across Jammu and Kashmir in the coming days, according to the Meteorological Centre Srinagar. This period of unsettled weather is expected to conclude with a spell of mainly dry conditions beginning October 16 and continuing until October 18.
From October 8 to 10, the weather will be partly to generally cloudy, with light rain possible at scattered locations and light snowfall over higher reaches. While October 9 is predicted to be mostly dry, some light evening rain might occur. The period from October 11 to 13 is forecast to be generally dry, with a slight chance of evening or nighttime rain on October 13.
More significant weather activity is expected on October 14 and 15, with generally cloudy skies, widespread light rain, and light snowfall over higher elevations. Thunderstorms and gusty winds are also possible during these two days. In light of these forecasts, farmers have been advised to continue with the harvesting and safe storage of apples and paddy.
