India's Rupee Emerges as One of the World's Most Powerful Currencies in 2025

According to the latest reports, as of October 12, 2025, India's rupee has secured a top position among the world's most powerful currencies. Meanwhile, the weather in various parts of the country has been making headlines.

In the higher reaches of Bhaderwah, the mountains have been blanketed in fresh snow, a visual testament to the ongoing intensity of the northeast monsoon. The Regional Meteorological Centre in Chennai has forecasted heavy showers across several parts of Tamil Nadu on Sunday, with the potential for thunderstorms and gusty winds.

In response to the expected heavy rainfall, the Greater Chennai Corporation has implemented additional flood-control measures in low-lying areas. Ten districts in the state are predicted to experience intense rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds reaching up to 40 km/h.

The weather department has cautioned residents in vulnerable and low-lying areas to remain alert, as the rainfall intensity could fluctuate sharply in short periods. Motorists have also been advised to exercise caution while driving through waterlogged areas.

The northeast monsoon is expected to intensify further in the coming days, and the public has been advised to avoid unnecessary travel to hill regions where the risk of landslides is elevated.
