India Braces for Heavy Rains: New Weather Alerts Issued

India is under new weather alerts as numerous regions are expected to experience heavy rainfall on August 21. Delhi and Punjab will likely see light to moderate showers accompanied by thunderstorms, with temperatures ranging between 27 to 35 degrees Celsius in the capital. Punjab is set to receive fresh spells of moderate to heavy rain over the next two days.

Maharashtra's financial capital may wake up to morning thunderstorms followed by a cool breeze, with temperatures between 25 and 31 degrees Celsius. Jammu and Kashmir are forecasted to have partly sunny to cloudy conditions with isolated heavy rainfall on August 20-21. East Rajasthan anticipates light to moderate rainfall, while Himachal Pradesh could face moderate to heavy showers with potential lightning and thunderstorms.

Chhattisgarh is predicted to be cloudy with rain spells and thunderstorms. Gujarat, however, is expected to remain mostly cloudy with breezy conditions and currently has no specific weather alerts. The forecast indicates widespread rainfall continuing across India for the next few days, with the Himalayan region, central and eastern parts, Northeast India, and the west coast likely to receive continued wet conditions.
