An active western disturbance is set to bring a spell of intense rainfall with hailstorm activity to northwest India and Madhya Pradesh on April 8. Chennai is projected to have 0.3 mm, and Kolkata could see between 0.3 to 6 mm of rainfall on the same day. Shimla is forecasted to receive between 1 to 3.5 mm of rain.
