In terms of temperature, Gurugram saw a recovery of 1.8°C compared to the previous day, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) recording a minimum of 5.3°C at 8:30 am. Officials forecast that the dense fog conditions are likely to persist through the end of the week. However, a slight temperature improvement of 2 to 3°C is anticipated within the next two days, followed by stabilization.
The IMD has classified the fog as 'dense to very dense' in isolated parts of Gurugram until Saturday. Advisories have been issued, cautioning farmers on crop irrigation and livestock care, and urging commuters to drive safely by maintaining distance and avoiding overspeeding. Similar dry weather and dense smog conditions are expected across the National Capital Region on Friday and Saturday.
