On October 8, 2025, the Hindon Air Force Station in Ghaziabad will be hosting the annual Air Force Day celebrations. In preparation for the event, the local authorities have announced a series of traffic diversions and restrictions to be implemented from 6 AM until the program ends.
The most significant changes include a complete prohibition on the movement of all heavy commercial vehicles on several key routes around the air force station. This includes the routes from ALT Chauraha towards the Rotary roundabout, from Hindon River Metro Station towards the Rotary roundabout, and from Karhera Cut GT Road towards the Hindon Airforce roundabout. Additionally, heavy vehicles will be barred from the roads near the Hindon Airforce, with only light vehicles and private cars allowed in the area.
The traffic police have also prohibited the movement of heavy commercial vehicles from Mohannagar towards the Hindon Airforce roundabout, as well as from the Karan Gate roundabout towards the Hindon Airforce roundabout. These measures are aimed at ensuring smooth traffic flow and minimizing disruptions during the Air Force Day celebrations.
Despite these efforts, a traffic police official has acknowledged that the VIP movement during the event is likely to cause challenges for commuters on the roads around the Hindon Air Force Station.
