Firefighters Warn Against Risky Heating Combo as Bitter Cold Looms

The Met Office deputy chief meteorologist, Dan Holley, stated that temperatures could dip as low as -7°C in some areas, with daytime highs struggling to reach double digits across the country. In response to this forecast, the Gloucestershire Fire Brigade has issued a strong warning about the risks of using hot water bottles in conjunction with electric blankets.
The fire and rescue service emphasized that this combination could be extremely dangerous, as "you could electrocute yourself." They advised the public to never use the two heating methods together, reiterating the advice on their website.
