The Dallas-Fort Worth area is bracing for a change in weather as Sunday afternoon brings increasing clouds and a rising chance of rain. Initially at 20% after 3 p.m., the probability of precipitation jumps to 90% by evening. Temperatures will hover around a high of 68 degrees and a low of 57 degrees.
One to two rounds of storms are anticipated to move through the region Sunday evening, with the National Weather Service warning of potential heavy rainfall leading to flood conditions. Areas north of Interstate 20 are particularly vulnerable, especially if they received rain earlier in the week. Additionally, a slight risk of severe hailstorms has been identified for regions west of Interstate 35.
Looking ahead, North Texas could see between one to three inches of rain by Monday morning, with showers and thunderstorms lingering. However, the forecast improves significantly by Tuesday, with dry weather expected to return and persist through the Thanksgiving holiday. Cooler temperatures will prevail throughout the week, dropping into the 30s on Wednesday night.
