4 Jun
Summary
- Temperatures in Delhi-NCR expected to stay below 40°C.
- Gusty winds up to 70 kmph and thunderstorms are forecast.
- Moderate weather continues into next week, signaling monsoon transition.

Delhi-NCR residents are experiencing a shift in weather, with temperatures expected to decrease due to approaching new weather systems. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather alert for Wednesday, predicting potential dust storms and thunderstorms for the national capital.
Gusty winds of 50-70 kmph and thunderstorms are anticipated in the afternoon, accompanied by partly cloudy skies and light rain. These conditions are expected to keep the maximum temperature around 38°C and below 40°C for the remainder of the week.
This moderate, cooler weather is a positive development as Delhi prepares for the monsoon season later in June. A fresh western disturbance is also expected to impact Himachal Pradesh from the evening of June 3, bringing rainfall and thunderstorms until June 6.
Temperatures across Himachal Pradesh have already dropped, with day temperatures in lower regions between 32°C and 36°C. The forecast for June 4 and June 5 indicates continued cloud cover, rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds, with milder, partly cloudy skies expected from June 6 to June 8.
