On Tuesday evening, Delhi was battered by strong winds reaching speeds of up to 111 kilometers per hour. The Palam area recorded the highest wind gust speed at 111 km/h, while other parts of the city also experienced significant gusts.
Temperatures across the national capital remained well above seasonal norms. Ridge recorded the highest maximum temperature at 44.7 degrees Celsius, significantly above average. Several other weather stations also reported maximum temperatures exceeding normal levels by several degrees.
The minimum temperature at Safdarjung settled at 29.2 degrees Celsius, also above normal. Looking ahead, the India Meteorological Department has predicted a partly cloudy sky for Wednesday, with a possibility of thunderstorms and lightning in isolated areas.
