6 Jun
Summary
- Delhi's maximum temperature dropped nearly 5°C after rain and winds.
- Rainfall was recorded in various parts of Delhi on Friday morning.
- Air quality improved to 'moderate' category after Wednesday's rain.

Delhi's maximum temperature saw a notable decrease on Friday, falling by nearly 5°C to 35.8°C. This drop followed widespread rain and strong winds across the city the previous day. The minimum temperature also experienced a significant dip of almost 4°C.
While the Indian Meteorological Department had issued a yellow alert predicting rain and thunderstorms, actual rainfall recorded by stations was minimal. Some areas, including Palam, reported light showers early on Friday morning.
The forecast suggests continued chances of light rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds for Saturday, which is expected to keep weekend temperatures between 35°C to 38°C. Clearer skies are anticipated from Monday, June 8, with temperatures potentially rising to 39°C-41°C by Tuesday.
Wednesday's rainfall also contributed to an improvement in Delhi's air quality. The 24-hour average Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 131, falling within the 'moderate' category.
