Overnight, the capital experienced intense thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds, which led to a noticeable drop in temperatures across the city. The minimum temperature in Safdarjung was recorded at 18.8 degrees Celsius, a significant 5.9 degrees below normal, with other stations like Palam and The Ridge also reporting much lower-than-usual temperatures.
Significant rainfall was recorded in various parts of Delhi in the 24 hours leading up to Monday morning. Safdarjung and Palam each received approximately 5.7 mm of rain, while Ayanagar recorded the highest at 13 mm. The IMD predicts that the maximum temperature on Monday will range between 31-33 degrees Celsius. Delhi's air quality remained in the 'moderate' category with an AQI of 106.
