13 Apr
Summary
- Maximum temperatures in Delhi are predicted to reach 40 degrees Celsius by April 15.

- This week's forecast shows temperatures rising above normal from April 14 onwards.

Delhi is set to experience a notable increase in temperature this week, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Maximum temperatures are predicted to climb, potentially reaching 40 degrees Celsius by April 15. This rise is attributed to the absence of any active western disturbances that could influence the weather.
The IMD's forecast indicates that maximum temperatures will start exceeding normal levels from April 14. Specifically, on April 14, the maximum temperature will be 1.6 to 3 degrees Celsius above normal. This trend is expected to continue on April 15 and 16, with both maximum and minimum temperatures likely to be above normal.
Following a period of milder weather in late March, which saw rain and thunderstorms, Delhi's weather pattern is shifting. A gradual rise in maximum temperatures by 4-5°C is anticipated over the coming seven days, with days expected to become warmer.
