Chandigarh Shivers as Temperatures Plummet to Seasonal Low

As of November 7th, 2025, Chandigarh has been experiencing a significant drop in temperatures. After reaching a high of 16.4°C on Wednesday, the city's minimum temperature recorded a sharp decline to 12.8°C on Thursday, which is 1.8 degrees below the normal.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), this was the lowest night temperature recorded so far this season, as the city prepares for the onset of winter. The IMD Chandigarh director, Surender Paul, explained that this drop was expected after a Western Disturbance led to light rain in the region on Tuesday night.
The maximum temperature also fell from 29.7°C on Wednesday to 28.3°C on Thursday, going 1 degree below normal. The IMD forecasts that over the next three days, the maximum temperature will remain between 26°C and 27°C, and the minimum temperature will stay around 11°C and 12°C.
