Eight districts in Gujarat are under alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall on July 31, including Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Anand, Bharuch, Narmada, Tapi, and Dang. The IMD anticipates significant rainfall, with Ahmedabad potentially receiving up to eight inches and Narmada up to twelve inches.
The current weather conditions are attributed to a confluence of meteorological systems, including a deep depression and an active monsoon trough. Consequently, fishermen have been advised to avoid the sea for the next two days due to rough conditions.
