A significant aid mission is underway as an ambulance, packed with clothing and medical supplies, prepares to journey to Ukraine. This initiative, spearheaded by The Rotary Club of Northampton Becket, has been described as their "most successful appeal" to date.
The club managed to raise more than £5,000 through their efforts, bolstered by generous public donations. This allows for the dispatch of an ambulance on a 1,355-mile trip from Great Doddington, Northamptonshire, to Kyiv.
Upon arrival, the aid will be handed over to the charity Mother Ukraine for onward distribution to front-line medics and individuals facing severe hardship. The club's chair emphasized the importance of providing help during these critical times.
