Qatar Intercepts Missiles Targeting Tech Firms

On Saturday, two missiles were intercepted over Doha, Qatar, amid threats from Iran to attack prominent Western companies. Google and Microsoft were explicitly named as targets, prompting several firms, including IBM and Nvidia, to evacuate staff. Qatari authorities also evacuated parts of Doha, affecting government departments and a Google office.
These threats followed earlier attacks by Iranian drones on Amazon facilities in the UAE and Bahrain. Iran's Revolutionary Guards had warned the US to evacuate American industries in the region and advised residents near factories with American shares to leave. Additionally, up to 100 people have been arrested in the UAE for filming and sharing drone or missile strike footage on social media.
