Two Indian-flagged Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) carriers, the Shivalik and Nanda Devi, have successfully transited the Strait of Hormuz early on Saturday morning. These vessels were carrying a substantial cargo of 92,700 tonnes of LPG, sourced from Gulf countries.
They were among a group of 24 ships that had been held up on the western side of the strait since hostilities erupted in the region. The successful passage marks a significant relief for maritime operations in this critical waterway.
The Shivalik and Nanda Devi are now proceeding towards their destinations at India's Mundra and Kandla ports in Gujarat. According to officials, the ships are anticipated to reach their Indian ports by March 16th or 17th.
