Summary
- Six Shaurya Squadrons have been activated for drone integration.
- These units provide enhanced vision and precision strike capabilities.
- The Indian Army plans rapid scaling of these digital units.

The Indian Army has activated six Shaurya Squadrons, significantly enhancing the capabilities of its heavy armor with advanced drone warfare integration. These new units are directly integrated with T-90 Bhishma, T-72 Ajeya, and Arjun Mk1A tanks, transforming them into multi-domain hunters.
This strategic initiative, accelerated by lessons from recent operations, provides tank crews with superior over-the-horizon vision and pinpoint accuracy for identifying enemy positions and weapon systems. This "deep precision strike" capability was a key feature during the recent Exercise Amogh Jwala.
With five Army commands already deploying these squadrons, the Indian Army plans a rapid expansion to equip all 67 armored regiments with these "digital wingmen," revolutionizing battlefield awareness and operational tempo.
