France Repatriates Citizens Amid Middle East Conflict

France has initiated repatriation flights for its citizens stranded due to the ongoing war in the Middle East. The first flight, which departed from Muscat, Oman, and included a stop in Cairo, Egypt, successfully landed in Paris early Wednesday. This flight prioritized vulnerable individuals, including families with children, those with illnesses, and the elderly.
Authorities have stated that approximately 100 seats were booked for this initial priority group. A second flight is anticipated to bring back French citizens who were in Israel and managed to cross into Egypt. President Emmanuel Macron estimates that around 400,000 French nationals, either residents or visitors, are present in the conflict-affected areas of the Middle East.
