US F-35 to Debut at India's Tarang Shakti Air Exercise

The Indian Air Force is set to host the second edition of Exercise Tarang Shakti at Jodhpur Air Force Station from September 26 to October 12. This significant multilateral air exercise will see participation from seven foreign nations: the United States, France, Germany, Australia, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and the United Arab Emirates.
The exercise is designed to highlight India's defense capabilities and provide a crucial platform for enhancing interoperability among international air forces. Hosts India will showcase a range of their advanced air assets, including the Rafale, Mirage-2000, Jaguar, Tejas, MiG-29, and Su-30 MKI.
Internationally, the event will feature impressive displays, with the US multi-role stealth fighter jet F-35 making its debut at Tarang Shakti, having previously been seen at Aero India 2025. Other participating international aircraft will include France's Rafale, the UAE's F-16, and Bangladesh's C-130J, all set to perform high-octane joint tactical maneuvers.
This major exercise follows closely on the heels of the bilateral air exercise 'Veer Guardian' between India and Japan, which took place at the same venue from September 9 to September 22. The maiden edition of Exercise Tarang Shakti was held in 2024, with fighter aircraft from the UK, Germany, and France participating in its initial phases.
