England Rugby Stars Stranded Amid Dubai Airspace Crisis
6 Mar
Summary
- Two England rugby stars are stuck in Dubai due to airspace disruption.
- Their return to England is uncertain, causing them to miss matches.
- The situation is linked to ongoing conflicts involving Iran.

England rugby internationals Ellie Kildunne and Sadia Kabeya are currently stranded in Dubai. They had travelled to the United Arab Emirates for a short break during a reserve week in the Premiership Women's Rugby schedule.
However, ongoing airspace disruption, linked to the United States' and Israel's actions against Iran, has prevented their planned return to England. This situation means they will be unavailable for their respective club fixtures this weekend.
Both players have registered with the UK government for updates and are in continuous communication with the Rugby Football Union and their clubs. They are receiving support and will travel back to England as soon as it is safely possible. The England and Wales Cricket Board also rerouted their warm-weather training camp to South Africa due to safety concerns in the region.
