Attendees were immersed in Colonial-era life, participating in activities such as open-hearth cooking, blacksmithing, and musket demonstrations. A portrayal of George Washington was also on display, highlighting his connection to Daniel Boone.
The celebration underscored Berks County's crucial role as a "breadbasket" during the Revolutionary War, supplying Washington's army. This historical context was brought to life by reenactors dressed in period attire.
