ZTE is introducing its Neo 5 series, aiming to democratize high-performance mobile gaming. These devices aim to integrate sought-after gaming phone features into more affordable handsets, potentially rivaling premium offerings.
The Neo 5 GT, the flagship of the budget line, includes an internal cooling fan. ZTE estimates this, combined with a heat-absorbing layer, reduces internal temperatures by 4 degrees Celsius. This model also features a gamer-centric aesthetic with LED lights, a 6,120-mAh battery, 80-watt charging, and a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate.
Additionally, the GT model incorporates capacitive touch shoulder buttons with ultra-low latency. The standard Nubia Neo 5 offers a similar cooling layer and capacitive shoulder buttons for approximately 300 euros. The Neo 5 Max, priced around 350 euros, boasts a nearly 7.5-inch display and a battery exceeding 7,000mAh.
The Neo 5 and Neo 5 GT are scheduled to launch in Europe and parts of Latin America in April 2026. The Neo 5 Max will follow in July 2026 in the same regions. ZTE has not yet confirmed availability for the US market.
