Xbox Secures GTA VI Streaming Exclusive

Microsoft's Xbox is set to offer an exclusive experience for Grand Theft Auto VI, securing the game's streaming rights. This deal ensures that only Xbox Cloud Gaming will be able to stream the title at its launch, a move unprecedented for a platform holder.

This exclusive streaming agreement is particularly significant as it targets PC players who might otherwise require a dedicated console. The strategy aligns with Microsoft's recent enhancements to Xbox Cloud Gaming, including a new pay-as-you-go option. This flexible access model is timed perfectly with Grand Theft Auto VI's release, enabling players without an Xbox console or those who prefer gaming on mobile devices to stream the game by purchasing hour bundles.

Furthermore, Xbox CEO Asha Sharma provided insights into Project Helix, the next generation of Xbox hardware. Sharma described it as a "family of devices," indicating a diversified approach to future gaming hardware. Microsoft's collaboration with AMD on next-generation consoles and devices was also highlighted, reinforcing a commitment to evolving the Xbox ecosystem.
