X is rolling out a significantly faster web app, with initial reports indicating a dramatic improvement in loading speeds. The company claims the new version can load the first post in a mere 2.7 seconds, a stark contrast to the previous 22-second wait time experienced on slower connections.
This upgrade is part of a strategic consolidation of the platform's backend infrastructure. X has reportedly replaced its previous three-server system, which handled user profiles, search crawlers, and link previews, with a single, more efficient server.
The enhanced web application is already accessible for users who are not logged in and for pages indexed by search engines. The company is currently deploying the updated app progressively, country by country, to its signed-in user base, aiming for a global rollout.
