Huawei has officially released the MatePad Pro Max, a device that has claimed the title of the world's thinnest tablet at a mere 4.7mm. US consumers may find it difficult to acquire this new tablet. The United States government has imposed restrictions on Huawei's products, citing cybersecurity concerns. Despite these limitations, Huawei has demonstrated robust growth, reporting a 28% increase in shipments between Q1 2025 and Q1 2026.
The MatePad Pro Max measures thinner than rivals like the Honor MagicPad 4 and the 13-inch iPad Pro. It features a 13.2-inch OLED display with a 3,000 by 2,000 pixel resolution and a 44Hz refresh rate. A special PaperMatte edition is also available, designed to minimize glare.
Other specifications include a 50MP rear camera, six speakers, and a 10,400 mAh battery offering up to 14.5 hours of video playback. The tablet supports 40W reverse charging and includes AI-powered features for document creation with WPS Office AI and stylus-enabled art creation using the GoPaint app and M-Pencil Pro. Advanced features like AI handwriting enhancement and a three-window multitasking mode are also integrated.
