Summary
- New StethO Sense service uses AI for heart and lung recordings.
- Service requires a Withings+ premium membership at $10/month.
- Results from StethO Sense are not official diagnoses.
Withings announced StethO Sense, a new service integrating AI analysis for heart and lung recordings captured by its BeamO device. This feature will be available to Withings+ subscribers starting October 1st. It employs third-party AI software, including eMurmur Heart AI for detecting abnormal heart murmurs and StethoMe for analyzing breathing sounds.
The StethO Sense service is accessible through the Withings app for a monthly fee of $10 or $100 annually. Users can select heart or lung recordings for analysis, with results delivered in seconds. While the service complements the existing Cardio Check-Up for ECG analysis, its results are explicitly not diagnoses. All data is exportable for physician consultation.
Existing BeamO owners who purchased their device before October 1st will receive a one-month free trial of Withings+. New BeamO purchases made on or after October 1st will also include a one-month trial of the premium membership, allowing users to explore the new AI-driven health insights.
