Windows 11 26H2: Copilot & File Explorer Revamped

The Windows 11 26H2 update, based on version 25H2, will be deployed as an enablement package, unlocking previously integrated features. This update is scheduled for rollout between late September and early October 2026, with Insider Program members receiving early access.
New features include an optional Copilot-based search integrated into the taskbar, offering direct access to files and settings. File Explorer will feature restructured context menus, grouping actions logically under 'Manage file' and separating OneDrive options. A WinUI-based Run window with an enlarged input field and command overview is also introduced.
Further enhancements include the return of the agenda view in the notification center, synchronizing with Outlook appointments. Sysinternals System Monitor is now integrated as an optional security component for threat detection. Additionally, camera settings will gain pan and tilt controls, and Windows 11 will receive Emoji version 16.0 updates.
