WhatsApp Agrees to CCI Data Sharing Rules by March 16

WhatsApp informed the Supreme Court on Monday that it will fully adhere to the Competition Commission of India's (CCI) directions concerning user consent for data sharing with its parent company, Meta. This commitment is set for March 16.
The company's submission was made to a bench of the Supreme Court. WhatsApp's senior counsel stated that the company would follow the directions as amended by the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) in December 2025.
