Waymo acknowledges these limitations and is reportedly working with airport authorities to improve the drop-off and pick-up locations, with plans to eventually serve the airport terminals directly. Similar improvements have occurred at other airports, such as Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, where Waymo transitioned to terminal service.
Despite the current inconveniences, Waymo is considered a potentially viable option for those needing a private space for confidential calls during their commute. However, for most travelers prioritizing speed and affordability, Waymo's SFO service is not yet recommended.
