Vivo Mirrors Apple's 'Liquid Glass' Design in OriginOS 6 Overhaul

Just a few months after Apple unveiled its 'Liquid Glass' design for iOS 26, Chinese smartphone giant Vivo has unveiled a near-identical look and feel for its latest OriginOS 6 Android skin. The similarities are striking, with Vivo's promotional materials showcasing rounded buttons, highly translucent notifications, app folders, and docks that could easily be mistaken for Apple's iOS 26.

Beyond the core 'Liquid Glass' aesthetic, Vivo's OriginOS 6 also incorporates other design elements from Apple's latest mobile operating system, including squircle icons and a Control Center that mirrors the iOS 26 interface. Even the wallpapers feature a two-dimensional to three-dimensional spatial effect akin to Apple's new Spatial Scenes.

While Vivo's marketing emphasizes the fluid performance of OriginOS 6, describing it as 'effortless motion built for the way you move,' the design team at Apple must be flattered by the immediate impact of their 'Liquid Glass' aesthetic refresh.
