Vivo has announced the upcoming launch of its X500 series in China on September 21. The company revealed these details during its Creator Festival, where it showcased new imaging technologies. The Vivo X500 Pro series will be the first to globally integrate the new BluePrint LightGuard 900 sensor, potentially based on Sony's LYT-910. This sensor, combined with Vivo's dynamic range technology, promises up to 17EV of dynamic range.
The X500 Pro models will enable remarkable video capture, offering 4K recording at 240fps for ultra-slow motion and 4K 120fps HDR video. Vivo's VCS 4.0 technology is integrated to enhance image quality in low-light environments. Furthermore, both the main and periscope telephoto cameras will feature CIPA 7-level stabilization, improving handheld photography and videography.
Specifications for the standard X500 suggest a 1/1.28-inch LYTIA-828 main sensor, a LYTIA-610 telephoto, and a 50-megapixel ultrawide. The X500 Pro Max is anticipated to include a 200-megapixel HP0 telephoto sensor. An AI photography assistant will analyze scenes and recommend settings, while an AI editing feature offers customized color adjustments.
