Vine Reborn: Decentralized Video Platform Launches with Archived Classics

On November 10th, 2025, a new video platform called diVine launched, backed by a nonprofit collective run by Twitter founder Jack Dorsey. diVine is focused on 6-second videos and features over 100,000 archived Vine videos, the popular short-form video app that Dorsey's Twitter had previously shut down.

diVine is built on decentralized technology, meaning it is owned by no one and controlled by everyone. The platform promises to provide an "era of social media where you could either have control of your algorithms, or you could choose who you follow, and it's just your feed, and where you know that it's a real person that recorded the video." This is in contrast to the increasing prevalence of AI-generated content on social media.
