Vietnam's Smart Police Booth Offers 24/7 Multilingual Help

Vietnam's first pilot Smart Police Station has been installed beside Hanoi's Hoan Kiem Lake, offering round-the-clock multilingual support. Launched by the Police Department for Administrative Management of Social Order (C06), this kiosk aims to leverage population data for more efficient public services.

The station provides five key functions: filing reports and complaints, emergency SOS calls, warnings about criminal tactics, police office searches, and legal question-answering. Users can log in using identification to report incidents, with an AI system analyzing voice submissions and classifying reports for relevant police units.

Supporting evidence such as images and video clips can be attached to reports, streamlining case handling. This advanced system ensures information is recorded in the Ministry of Public Security's handling system, facilitating proactive assistance to citizens and visitors.

This innovative digital transformation model is currently being piloted in Hanoi, with plans to integrate more services linked to population data and digital identification. C06 emphasized that the multilingual capability significantly enhances Vietnam's image for international visitors.
