Valve Announces Powerful Steam Machine and Wireless VR Headset

In the tech world, Valve has made a significant return to the hardware scene. The company, best known for its PC gaming platform Steam, has announced a new home console called the Steam Machine, along with a revamped version of the Steam Controller and a new virtual reality headset dubbed the Steam Frame.

The Steam Machine is a revival of Valve's previous attempt to bring PC gaming to the living room, but this time it's more powerful, reportedly six times stronger than the Steam Deck handheld. The new console uses a custom Zen 4 CPU from AMD and will be available in various memory and storage configurations, allowing users to upgrade it.

Valve has also unveiled the Steam Frame, a "streaming-first" VR headset that aims to provide lag-free, wireless gaming by connecting to a PC. The headset, which weighs only 440 grams, features two LCD screens with a resolution of 2160 x 2160 pixels per eye and a dedicated wireless module to ensure smooth data transfer.

In other news, Apple has collaborated with Japanese design brand Issey Miyake to create a unique iPhone accessory. The "iPhone Pocket" is a tiny shoulder bag designed to carry your iPhone, inspired by a "piece of cloth." The pouch comes in two versions, a short-strap design for $150 and a long-strap version for $230, and will be available at select Apple Stores and online in several countries.
