10 Aug
Summary
- Logistics partner CEVA breached, exposing Valve customer data.
- Names, addresses, phone, and email details were compromised.
- Financial data and passwords remained secure in the breach.

A cyberattack on CEVA Logistics, Valve's shipping partner for Steam hardware in Europe, occurred between July 29 and August 1, 2026. The breach, which Valve learned of on August 7, 2026, resulted in the compromise of customer data. Affected information includes names, street addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses used for Steam accounts.
While no financial or payment information was stolen, and Valve's systems were not directly breached, the attackers have reportedly begun using the stolen data. Customers are advised to change passwords for other online accounts that share their Steam credentials. Phishing attempts, particularly those requesting payment or account verification, should be treated with extreme caution. CEVA Logistics is investigating the incident with third-party assistance.
