Nearly two-thirds of business leaders report an increased risk of cyberattacks in the past year. A concerning 71% believe their employees are susceptible to phishing attacks. Furthermore, staff are reusing work passwords for an average of 11 personal accounts, amplifying the consequences of any data breach.
Despite these risks, simpler protective measures remain effective. Basic cyber awareness training has only been completed by 45% of staff. However, high-profile attacks on major companies have increased vigilance, with 89% of businesses feeling more alert. Awareness of AI-powered scams and deepfakes is also growing, with 70% more suspicious of suspicious video calls.
