Belgium Approves Tesla's Full Self-Driving
11 Jun
Summary
- Tesla's Full Self-Driving software is now authorized in Belgium.
- Belgium is the third EU country to approve the technology.
- Regional approvals in Belgium are valid nationwide.

Tesla's Full Self-Driving supervised driver assistance software has officially been authorized for use in Belgium. Annick De Ridder, the transport minister for Flanders, announced on Wednesday that she had signed the necessary approval, enabling the technology's rollout in the country.
This development makes Belgium the third member state in the European Union to authorize Tesla's advanced driver assistance system, with the Netherlands and Lithuania being the prior countries to do so. The authorization follows a series of successful tests conducted by Tesla within Belgium.
An important aspect of the approval is that any authorization granted within one of Belgium's three regions is legally valid throughout all territories of the country, simplifying the process for nationwide deployment.
