Tendeg Revolutionizes Space Antenna Manufacturing
14 Apr
Summary
- Tendeg inaugurated its new 120,000-square-foot production facility.
- The facility aims to scale up manufacturing for national security space programs.
- It can produce over 100 deployable apertures annually at full capacity.

Tendeg has announced the delivery of its first flight antenna manufactured at Innovation Drive, a new 120,000-square-foot facility dedicated to scaled production of deployable space antennas. This milestone signals Tendeg's transition towards higher-volume manufacturing for national security and commercial space sectors.
The Innovation Drive facility integrates engineering, manufacturing, and testing, emphasizing repeatability and throughput with standardized tooling and vertically integrated capabilities. This structure provides Tendeg with enhanced control over quality and production readiness as demand for deployable apertures grows.
CEO Gregg Freebury stated that Innovation Drive enables the delivery of proven antenna technology with the necessary scale and consistency the market requires. The facility is engineered to support the increasing demand for hardware at greater cadence without compromising reliability, a critical need for proliferated space architectures.
At full capacity, Innovation Drive is projected to support the annual production of over 100 deployable apertures. These antennas serve diverse customer missions, including large-aperture reflectors for prominent clients and programs supporting NASA and the U.S. Department of War.
